Charity Musoma van der Meer - Fashion & Surface design for wearable art felted garments

 The workshop will focus on working creatively in exploring and concentrating on pattern making and enlarging for fashionable and wearable felt art. We will explore the structures and rough surface using different techniques and materials to create beautiful surfaces.

We will also focusing on designing and making a one-piece nuno-felted A-line garments. Students will learn how to create and add box pleats and extra floating accent into the garments.
They will learn how to develop and enlarge their own pattern using a very easy and simple technique with a very simple, but effective method that will help them develop their own pattern that will suit and fit them.

In addition we will be creating textures on the surface to create a very creative coat.
They will get to work with all kinds of fibers and fabrics stitching and folding to create the textures to their own liking.
This is a great opportunity to learn how to create your new one piece long or short sleeved and fashionable spring light weight coat.

Students will also learn how to add hoods and detached collars.

No sewing needed.

Skill level required: Basic felting experience required.
