Geelong Fibre Forum will be held on the
1st October to 7th Oct, 2017,
at Geelong Grammar, Corio.
In this workshop we will push the boundaries of the traditional notions of ornament/ jewellery. We will explore traditional techniques, e.g., string making, knitting, crochet and basketry techniques to make sculptural ornaments with a contemporary twist. Experimentation with unconventional materials, e.g. plastic, paper, wire and textiles etc. will be investigated.
This workshop is designed for students of all levels of experience, from the complete novice to the most experienced. The aim is to have fun experimenting with techniques and to investigate materials to create personally unique objects.
