Woodland Alchemy: Sculptural Felt Vessels Inspired by Nature
Dawn Edwards
Step into a world where wool transforms into botanical wonder.
In this immersive wet-felting workshop, we will take our cues from the forest floor—where mossy rocks, seedpods, fungi, bark, and secret forest grottos intertwine in perfect harmony. Guided by the textures, colors, and forms of nature, come explore the making of vessels that look as though they were grown rather than made.
Using a rich variety of techniques, we’ll explore how to build up surface texture, layer natural hues, and incorporate botanical and sculptural elements that blur the boundary between the organic and the imagined.
You’ll have time to create more than one vessel during our time together. Perhaps your second vessel will incorporate themes evocative of coral reefs, coastal rock pools, cracked earth...or perhaps a landscape only imagined. The possibilities are truly endless.
All skill levels welcome!
