Scrolls of Colour

Monika Dabrowska-Ejmont

This workshop is all about colour, texture and layers of messy fun!
I will share with you a variety of techniques and shortcuts to create colourful, vibrant, joyful picture with many layers, depth and meaning. We will use vintage pianola roll paper as our art surface where musical sheet perforations, printing and verse will be the first layer of our painting. We will add colours, stories and shapes to create beautiful fusion of music from yesterday and art of today.

The class incorporates the use of commercial stencils, collage materials and mark making tools. I will also show you how to make your own personal marks to make your work unique to you. To accompany your piece, remaining pianola roll paper will be used to create a companion journal.
During the class we will fill it with: illustrated step by step instructions of the painting process, notes, memories, inspiring ideas, maybe even cake recipe :).

Whether you are total beginner or just want to expand your creative boundaries this class is designed for you. Come and join me, paint your joy or a dream. Make colourful mess, tame it ! Make it beautiful! I promise all of it will be fun!

All skill levels welcome!
